After graduating high school in Ohio, I went on to attend Indiana Wesleyan University without even visiting it or having a relationship with Christ. I am really not sure what I was thinking but God used it in some powerful ways.
It was the intramural water polo season of 2002 that changed my life. It was there where I would meet my future wife. Shortly after that, was when I committed my life to Christ. At that point God began to tug at my heart to live a life for Him. I went on to graduate in 2003 and began immediately working at a FCA camp as an assistant program director and intern coordinator.
It was only 4 months later when I had lost my job due to the camp deciding to close down. This was God’s unique way of working circumstances out for the better. Not too long after this, I stumbled upon LeaderTreks and got hired to serve in the Summit Program. Those 2 years were a transformational time in my life that has powerfully changed who I am.
I am now blessed to be leading the same program, Summit, which grew me so much. There are few things better than being able to work for a ministry that you buy into and love being a part of.
Summit is part of the full time community at LeaderTreks. It is a hands on opportunity to learn cutting edge leadership skills, develop personally, grow spiritually and become a leader in the Kingdom of God.
Summit is a two year full time commitment, during that time Summiteers learn leadership through experience.
Summit is a part of the ministry and work of LeaderTreks in Carol Stream IL, just outside of Chicago.
The goal of Summit is to help develop you as a leader in God's Kingdom. We firmly believe that God's desire is to transform the world, and that his only plan to do that is you - the body of his Church.
